Announcing leading world thinker on business and innovation Don Tapscott as new Marketing Juror

The Real-Time Academy Marketing Jury, the group of judges that decide the winners of the Shorty Industry Awards are delighted to announce that Don Tapscott, one of the world’s leading authorities on innovation, media, and the economic and social impact of technology will be joining the jury. Don has authored or co-authored 14 widely read books, including Paradigm Shift, Grown Up Digital, Wikinomics and most recently, Macrowikinomics, these works have given him an extremely unique point of view and understanding of how web 2.0 tools and initiatives can dramatically assist business successes.
Don has been described as “one of the most influential media authorities since Marshall McLuhan,” making him the perfect addition to our great group of Industry leaders who will help push forward social media marketing. Don’s understanding of the social web, along with our other jurors, will help honor the brands and agencies that are doing the best work to push forward new ideas and leverage Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Tumblr, YouTube and the rest of the social web to connect with customers and consumers on an even deeper level.
