The definition of a celebrity has been changed forever as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and the social web has provided a giant red carpet for the biggest names around the globe to impress fans, give inside looks at their lives and grow followings into the tens of millions.
The #Celebrity of the Year Shorty Award, created in partnership with BIO, will be awarded to a celebrity whose creative Twitter bio, presence on social media and genuine sharing has helped them tell truer stories about their life and effect on pop culture. For these celebrities, a relevant and intriguing twitter bio is essential to their image. It’s short, it’s sweet and it tells people WHO they are WHAT they do and WHY they do it. Or it’s just completely random and awesome anyways.
