The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi Will Host the 3rd Annual Shorty Awards!
Yes, it’s true! Actor, writer and comedianAasif Mandvi (@aasif_mandvi) of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will host the 3rd Annual Shorty Awards on March 28th in New York City!
As host of the star-studded ceremony at the TimesCenter, Mandvi will be responsible for ensuring that the winners stick to the Shorty Awards’ famous 140-character acceptance speech limit.
Bet you didn’t know: Mandvi is the recipient of the 1999 OBIE award for his critically acclaimed play, Sakina’s Restaurant, which was performed and conceived by Mandvi as a one man show.
His film credits include Today’s Special, M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, It’s Kind of a Funny Story and The Proposal. TV credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sex and the City, The Sopranos, OZ, Law & Order and CSI.
