Dennis Crowley Presents the Foursquare Shorty Awards
This year, the Shorty Awards introduced special awards, which included Mayor of the Year and Location of the Year on Foursquare. Dennis Crowley (@dens), co-founder and CEO of Foursquare was at TheTimesCenter in New York City to present the new awards.
Foursquare Location of the Year was awarded to South by Southwest (@SXSW), where Foursquare launched in 2009.
Baratunde Thurston (@baratunde), Director of Digital at The Onion, won Foursquare Mayor of the Year.
Dennis also participated in a Shorty Interview before the ceremony, conducted by our friend, Sree Sreenivasan (@sree).
