Nominations Close for Most Shorty Categories Tonight at 11:59pm EST

As Social Media Week comes to a close, so do most categories in the Third Annual Shorty Awards. Tonight at 11:59pm EST (2/11), the Shorty Awards will stop accepting nominations for all categories except where marked otherwise. Categories such as the recently announced Connecting People Shorty Award will remain open.

We might be announcing some new categories that you’ll still be able to enter sometime between now and the Shorty Awards Ceremony on March 28. Be the first to know about them by joining our mailing list (right hand sidebar) or liking us on Facebook. Oh, we have a Twitter too.

If you work with a brand or agency, be sure to enter today for the Shorty Industry Awards.

Shorty Awards nominations extended through Social Media Week!

We know how much fun you’ve been having nominating your favorite people and organisations on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Foursquare so we’ve decided to extend the nomination process through Friday, February 11th at 11:59pm EST in honor of Social Media Week.
 
Social Media Week brings hundreds of thousands of people together every year through learning experiences that aim to advance our understanding of social media’s role in society. Check out all the amazing programming planned for Social Media Week taking place from February 7-11 in nine cities around the globe.  
 
If you work with a brand or agency you still have time to place an entry for a Shorty Industry Award, which honor the most innovative social media work over the past year. Categories include best brand presence on Facebook and Twitter, viral campaign, social game and location-based marketing campaign
